Well you have to make your own mind, however no matter what OS you use...you expect to find problems.
No matter what game or program or OS, there are problems...some of them minor, and cant notice some them major...and can distrupt a lot of things.
Example, Windows XP has loads of problems before you install The SP pack 1. They can include freezes, non responding programs to happen frequently and of course the good old crappy fire wall...which protects you from -nothin-?
Without SP1 Windows XP is a 'dud'. With the SP's and all the updates...about 3 hours of them, XP is a super star compared to the other OS's.

- But wait were are not talking about XP, we are talking about Windows 'codename longhorn m6', which is the full name of the Longhorn series.

.NET service in longhorn.

Well is it any good? Of course- its miles better than XP, and .NET service is more intergrated into the system, which many users will find very handy indeed, yet many will find anoying...
There have been extreme re-creations such as new system themes...first 98/2000 normal gui and then themes and skins gui for XP and now part gui for longhorn.

Developers using longhorn.

Longhorn is great for developers of the C+ or delphi or common codes, that many people use as it is intergrated with word and dos...plus the rest of the windows system, making it easier to test and work out the codes.
HTML users wont notice nay changes to notepad as it is a non-changing program, in order to make compatible with the windows 95+ computers.

Virus, trojan, spy protection and firewall in longhorn.

We can say that this is greatly improved since the XP sp1. We were amazed, its still recomended that you actually get a real virus protecxtion, spyware remover and firewall...but without one, you would do too bad.

Pop up protection.

Microsoft are doing the best they can on this, but its not priority and therefore may not be included in Lm6, you may require a Plus! pack or something.

Themes and visuals.

Well this is like a new series of OS alltogether! Here are some new changes:

New LHm6 Slate theme.
No start tag on button.
More themes and VS to choose from.
A new bar, Default is on the right...with clock taskmanager, ip system, networking, internet, intergrated MSN/NET and more...
Changable icons/cursors/sounds/themes/clocks/skins/gui/ui and more.
Colours enhancements.
Media player 10 compatibility - BETA out now.
The newest and eyebrabbing thing is the new bar ont he right, which can be hidden, and has everything you will ever need...including a skinable clock..wow!

Will i or anyone else move to longhorn?

I dont know for sure, but not for a year after release...I hope window blinds will be avalible on it...

XP will still remain in my house for years to come, and its the same for many...
